Doing Business Subnational Brazil 2021

Doing Business Subnational Brazil 2021 presents a comparative analysis of the business environment in the 26 Brazilian states and the Federal District. This study, coordinated by The World Bank Group, measures the regulation of the activities of small and medium-sized national companies in five areas: starting a business, obtaining construction permits, registering properties, paying taxes and enforcing contracts. The report also includes two pilot studies on the registration of an Individual Microentrepreneur (MEI) and the payment of taxes under the Simples Nacional regime, measured in five locations in Brazil.
